About Us
We are a nonprofit corporation dedicated to a simple goal: to share the joy of live music with our wounded or disabled veterans as a way to say ‘thank you’ for their service and sacrifice for our nation.
Why Music?
Music provides a sound track for our lives. We listen to the radio as we commute. Ipods carry us along as we walk or work out. Satellite radio accompanies us as we go about our daily routine. Our love of music fuels a multi-billion dollar industry because the pleasures music provides are priceless. Sending our wounded & disabled veterans to live music concerts is a small, yet meaningful, way we can express our heartfelt gratitude to them. We can provide an unforgettable experience to many of our American heroes who truly deserve our recognition and thanks through this gift of music.

A Note of Thanks relies on the support and contributions of major recording artists, veterans service organizations, foundations, corporations and individuals to provide this gift of music to our veterans of all ages who have served our country and returned with lifetime disabilities or injuries.

Our first concert to launch the A Note of Thanks program took place in San Francisco, California, on June 8th 2008. ACM & CMA Entertainer of the Year, Kenny Chesney, along with some of his incredibly talented friends; Gary Allan, LeAnn Rimes and Brooks & Dunn, gave our veterans and an arena full of fans, the performance of a lifetime as part of the Poets & Pirates Tour. It was an incredible concert for a very special group of American veterans which included Purple Heart recipients from Vietnam and Iraq.

We immediately followed this event with our first concert series thanks to the support and generosity of reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and ACM Top Male Vocalist, Brad Paisley, who provided tickets to four of his concerts in California as part of his Paisley Party Tour. Our veterans -- many of whom were Purple Heart recipients -- watched from absolutely fabulous seats as Julianne Hough, Chuck Wicks, Jewel and Brad Paisley gave incredible performances.

The A Note of Thanks program is off to a very good start. As we build our funding base and support, we look forward to working with many more artists, from country to R&B, in providing this gift of music to our deserving veterans throughout the country. We welcome your participation and contributions to this very worthwhile program to acknowledge and thank those who have given so much for us.
